What RunGo Maps does
RunGo Maps provides turn-by-turn GPS navigation with spoken street names, lane guidance, weather, satellite imagery, street-level photos, and offline map areas. The app runs on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It is built by Belmont General LLC (doing business as Belmont Labs) and powered by TowFi's self-hosted map infrastructure.
Data we do not collect
RunGo Maps has no user accounts, no sign-up, and no login. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:
- Names, email addresses, or other personal identifiers
- Location history or GPS tracks
- Analytics, usage telemetry, or crash reports
- Device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV, or fingerprints)
- Contacts, photos, calendar data, or health data
- Cookies or cross-app tracking of any kind
Data that stays on your device
The app stores a small amount of data locally on your device so your preferences persist between sessions. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us:

You can delete all of this data at any time by deleting the app from your device.
Location data
RunGo Maps requires access to your device's location to show your position on the map and to provide turn-by-turn navigation. Location data is processed entirely on your device.
When you request a route, your origin and destination coordinates are sent to our self-hosted routing server (OSRM on gps.gpstowfi.com) to calculate the route. These coordinates are processed in real time to return directions and are not logged or stored on the server.
Similarly, when you search for a place or the app resolves your current area name, coordinates are sent to our self-hosted geocoding server (Nominatim on geocode.gpstowfi.com). These requests are not logged or stored.
The app requests "When In Use" location permission. Background location is used only during active turn-by-turn navigation so voice guidance continues when the screen is off. The blue status-bar indicator is always visible when background location is active.
Third-party services
RunGo Maps connects to the following services during use. None of these services receive personal information or identifiers from the app:

The TowFi services (map tiles, routing, and geocoding) run on infrastructure owned and operated by Belmont General LLC. No third-party services are involved in core navigation.
Children's privacy
RunGo Maps does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The app contains no accounts, social features, or user-generated content.
App Store privacy label
In accordance with Apple's App Store requirements, RunGo Maps declares that it collects no data linked to your identity and no data used to track you.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and change the effective date above. Continued use of RunGo Maps after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
